Historic Trappe – Dedication of Speaker’s House

We are excited to announce the grand opening of the Speaker’s House at Historic Trappe. This is where our collection of 18th Century artifacts (from Varnum’s Headquarters in Valley Forge) has been relocated for all to appreciate and enjoy. This event is being organized by Historic Trappe, and they have invited us to attend the grand opening – the details are below

The Speaker’s House was home to Frederick Muhlenberg and his family from 1781 to 1803. Frederick is best known as the first Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives; he was also speaker of the Third Congress.
