New Citizens Naturalization Ceremony

Thursday, May 29th was a busy day on the calendar. While our Color Guard held an important practice drill in preparation for this year’s Let Freedom Ring® Parade and Celebration, our Lehigh Valley members, under the expert supervision of our Society Historian Dr. Edwin S. Hart, III, and in cooperation with Congressman Ryan MacKenzie and our friends-in-mission from the local DAR chapter, we all participated in the always-powerful New Citizens Naturalization Ceremony at the Lehigh County Courthouse in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
The Pennsylvania Society has been a vocal advocate for celebrating these New Citizen Ceremonies across our Commonwealth for many years now, welcoming these new citizens with friendly words and open arms, an important part of the road travelled for these proud and grateful new citizens from all over the world, at the culmination of a process that, for many of them, has taken years to complete. It is a privilege and honor to be included in these ceremonies, and we welcome all members to check our calendar of upcoming events and join us as we help celebrate these new citizens. A special thanks to Judge Anna-Kristie Marks for welcoming us into her courtroom for this celebration (click here for the article in The Morning Call). Look out for upcoming New Citizens Ceremonies in Lancaster and Allentown.
