Lancaster County Chapter – News & Notes

Our Lancaster County Chapter has had an active few months, including the chapter’s Washington’s Birthday Party, their 2025 Annual Meeting and elections of new officers, and an exciting summer that includes the Lafayette 200th celebrations.

Washington’s Birthday Party took place at Pheasant Run Inn in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and treated everyone in attendance to a wonderful reception followed by a sumptuous dinner. Traditional Toasts were offered, and a great time was had by all in attendance.

Honored guests at the event included Adam Zurn of Uncharted Lancaster, who gave an update on the Lafayette 200 Lancaster weekend events. Also in attendance was honored guest and retired veteran Sergeant Major Kevin Bittenbender. SM Bittenbender is the founder of Joint Task Force 22 to Zero, a non-profit working to address PTSD and suicide risks for veterans, and he gave an impassioned speech regarding his times of deployment, sacrifices of our troops abroad, and his work with veterans addressing PTSD and suicide prevention.

The dinner was a complete success, one of our largest events in recent times with 42 attendees.
